Job Responsibilities
- Be responsible for sales activities in the Brasil Utility-Scale BESS market and support the achievement of annual and quarterly sales targets.
- Support the execution of local market expansion strategies to drive the growth of the Empresa’s utility-scale energy storage business in Brasil.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including utilities, IPPs, renewable energy developers, EPC companies, investors, large industrial customers, and strategic partners.
- Leverage local market resources and networks to identify and develop new utility-scale energy storage opportunities.
- Manage the full sales cycle of utility-scale BESS projects, including customer engagement, opportunity identification, project development support, solution presentation, commercial negotiation, bidding participation, contract signing, and project execution follow-up.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure smooth project delivery, contract execution, and payment collection.
- Work closely with technical, engineering, and solution teams to provide customized utility-scale energy storage solutions based on customer requirements, grid applications, and project scenarios.
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis, and stay updated on Brasil’s energy storage regulations, transmission and distribution market developments, ancillary services opportunities, capacity market mechanisms, and utility-scale BESS industry trends.
- Provide timely market feedback and support local business development and strategic planning.
- Maintain awareness of local regulations, environmental requirements, grid connection standards, permitting processes, and industry regulations related to utility-scale BESS projects in Brasil.
- Identify, evaluate, and report potential commercial, contractual, regulatory, and operational risks during project development and execution.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or above, preferably in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, Power Systems, Energy Engineering, Business, Marketing, or related fields.
- Minimum 5 years of sales, business development, or project development experience in energy storage, renewable energy, power generation, transmission and distribution, or related industries.
- Experience in Brasil’s utility-scale renewable energy or energy storage market with established local customer and industry resources is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with utility-scale power projects, grid-connected energy storage applications, power market mechanisms, and project development processes is preferred.
- Strong business development, stakeholder management, and customer relationship management skills.
- Able to independently manage customer communication, commercial negotiations, and project follow-up.
- Native or fluent Portuguese and business-level English communication skills.
- Willingness to travel within Brasil as required.
