Biofuel production venture in Brasil: seeking an entrepreneurial partner with active network
I am developing a green methanol venture in Brasil, built on residual streams of the sugarcane and bioenergy chain. I am looking for an experienced professional to secure access to those streams and to the people who control them. This is a confidential search at an early stage, so I am describing the profile here rather than the project itself. Full details will be shared in a personal conversation, if needed under an NDA.
The groundwork is in place. Technology and operations partners are involved, and offtake and financing discussions are underway. What is missing is the person on the ground who can reach mill owners and negotiate on my behalf.
What the role is about
The core activity is securing long term feedstock. Concretely: identifying the mills and groups whose residual streams fit, reaching their owners and decision makers, and negotiating supply agreements with committed minimum volumes and the carbon attributes attached to those streams.
The regulatory aspects are important, e.g. RenovaBio, CBIO pricing, the CGOB certificate and the implementation of Combustível do Futuro.
This is not a salaried Cargo and not an advisory mandate. I am looking for someone who works on a success based arrangement with equity participation rather than fixed compensation, and who sees the upside of what gets built. Equity is part of the arrangement from the start, with the structure defined together in conversation. As the venture takes shape, there is a clear path for the right person into an operational leadership role as Managing Director or Operations Director.
