VP Engineering – AI Transformation & Product Modernisation

Vice President, AI Engineering

We're partnering with a global technology Empresa to appoint a senior engineering leader to drive one of the most significant technology transformation programmes in Latin America.

This is a rare opportunity to lead a large-scale engineering organisation while helping shape the future of AI within an established, market-leading product portfolio generating over $100M USD in annual revenue.

The business sits at the intersection of highly complex software, regulatory change, and AI innovation. The successful leader will be responsible for modernising platforms, evolving engineering practices, and helping build an AI-native organisation capable of supporting the Seguinte generation of products.

The Opportunity

This leader will take ownership of a large engineering organisation based in Brasil and play a critical role in defining the future technical direction of the business.

Key priorities include:

• Leading and developing a ~100 person engineering organisation, expected to continue growing through both organic expansion and acquisition
• Modernising legacy platforms and architectures to support future scale
• Driving adoption of modern engineering practices, cloud technologies, and AI-enabled development workflows
• Partnering with product, commercial, and executive stakeholders to align technology strategy with business priorities
• Assessing, developing, and evolving engineering talent as the organisation transforms
• Helping define how AI capabilities are embedded across products, workflows, and customer experiences
• Working closely with global technology leadership to bring world-class AI capabilities into the Latin American business

What We're Looking For

We're interested in speaking with engineering leaders who combine technical credibility with the ability to operate effectively at an executive level.

Ideal candidates will bring:

• Experience leading engineering organisations of 100+ people
• A strong track record of platform modernisation and technology transformation
• Deep architectural understanding across cloud-native systems and modern software platforms
• Experience operating in complex enterprise software, fintech, SaaS, marketplace, or other high-scale technology environments
• Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to influence across engineering, product, commercial, and executive teams
• Practical experience implementing AI, machine learning, agentic systems, or AI-enabled engineering practices
• A hands-on mindset with the ability to stay close to technology while leading through managers and senior leaders
