Cargo Overview

Responsible for end-to-end procurement, including purchase order creation, supplier quotation management, and compliance with corporate standards. Acts as a key operational link between suppliers, manufacturing, and warehouses, ensuring material availability for production. Supports supplier management, master data accuracy, invoice resolution, and contributes to supply chain improvements. Partners with regional teams on negotiations and strategic sourcing initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure correct materials are available in the right quantity at the right time to meet production needs.
  • Purchase direct materials (monomers & Acrylates) required for the site ensuring quality, lead time, and cost efficiency.
  • As needed negotiate for better rates, quicker shipping or other deliverables. Negotiate commercial conditions (prices, lead times, deliveries, and other terms) with suppliers, always aligned with the Regional Procurement Manager, to ensure the best outcomes for the Empresa.
  • Create solutions for unavailable materials to ensure minimal impact on operations. Anticipate and resolve supply issues to minimize operational impact and avoid production downtime. Follow up to quality approvals for new raw materials or suppliers.
  • Create and enhance relationships to ease negotiations, ensure quick service; handle service complaints. Establish and strengthen partnerships with suppliers to facilitate negotiations, ensure responsiveness, and resolve inconveniences.
  • Ensure invoices reflect appropriate rates and charges; resolve discrepancies control all DFM process to solve discrepancies with suppliers and internal teams.
  • Address excess and obsolete materials within the assigned scope to ensure appropriate supply levels and cost commitments, proposing solutions to minimize.
  • Ensure accurate and timely registration and updates of supplier information in the SAP system, enabling compliant and efficient procurement processes.

Required Competencies:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Administration, Logistics, International Trade, Economics, International Relations or related fields.
  • Exprerience in Procurement and Purchasing Monomers & Acrylates - VAM, BuA, Styrene, GAA, PVOH, MMA etc (Operational mandatory, Strategic preferred), Supply Chain Planning, Logistics.
  • At least 7 years previous Procurement and/or Purchasing experience.
  • Advanced English; intermediate Spanish.
  • Strong SAP experience needed, with a focus on key Supply Chain and Procurement functionalities.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and collaboration skills.
  • High degree of business acumen.
  • History of negotiation and partnership with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong problem solving skills.
  • Strong attention to details.
  • Sense of ownership.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
