St. Nicholas is looking for an experienced Mathematics teacher (local hire) to join our Secondary section. We invite suitably qualified and experienced candidates to apply and help support our students' learning journey.

Main responsibilities within the role:

• To participate in collaborative planning, preparation, and organisation of teaching and learning based on the IB MYP and DP Programmes, to reflect individual students’ needs;
• To plan and deliver IB-aligned lessons in the MYP section and possibly also in the DP, as well as supporting the IB DP Core components, including CAS, the Extended Essay, and Theory of Knowledge;
• To apply the best pedagogical practice, based on a detailed knowledge of a range of appropriate teaching and learning strategies curated for the MYP/DP classroom;
• To be enthusiastic about professional development and show a commitment to developing your practice and that of your colleagues;
• To actively support all learners based on their individual needs and liaise with relevant professionals where necessary;
• To be part of the Pastoral team in Secondary School and engage with the holistic nature of learning in the school;
• To liaise with Heads of Faculty, the MYP Coordinator, the DP Coordinator, the Head of Secondary, and the Personalised Learning team.

Required Skills and Attributes:

• Fluency in English (verbal and written) (Essential);
• A relevant degree in the subject and an internationally recognised teaching qualification (Essential);
• Experience teaching the MYP and/or DP in an international school context (Essential);
• Excellent interpersonal, collaborative skills (Essential);
• A commitment to inquiry-based learning and alignment with the school's vision and mission (Essential).
