Freight and Cost Audit Manager, ATS Brazil

- Bachelors Degree; - Proficient in transportation management systems, productive dynamics and data analysis tools; - Knowledge of transportation modes, warehouse and operational models, carrier capabilities, and industry best practices; - Project management and change management experience; - Ability to pull large dataset and convert it into insights that can drive efficiency; - Fluent Portuguese and advanced English. The Freight and Cost Audit Manager is responsible for overseeing the organizations transportation cost management and freight audit operations. This role leads the audit team in analyzing freight bills, validating carrier charges, and identifying cost-saving opportunities across all transportation modes. The position requires expertise in developing and implementing audit procedures, ensuring regulatory compliance, and maintaining strong relationships with carriers and internal stakeholders. The ideal candidate will drive process improvements, leverage data analytics to optimize costs, and deliver actionable insights to reduce transportation spend while maintaining service quality. This role is crucial in maintaining the financial integrity of the companys logistics operations and contributing to bottom-line savings. Key job responsibilities 1) Audit Management: Lead and supervise freight bill audit processes; Develop and implement audit procedures and controls; Review carrier contracts and rate agreements; Verify accuracy of freight charges and billing. 2) Cost Analysis & Optimization: Analyze transportation costs and spending patterns; Identify cost-saving opportunities; Monitor KPIs and develop performance metrics; Create cost reduction strategies, in partnership with OPS Finance teams. 3) Compliance & Documentation: Ensure compliance with transportation regulations; Maintain accurate documentation of audits; Oversee record-keeping systems. 4) Reporting & Communication: Prepare regular audit reports for management; Present findings and recommendations; Communicate with carriers regarding discrepancies; Collaborate with finance and operational departments. 5) Process Improvement: Streamline audit procedures with ACES teams; Implement automation tools with MMPT and OPS Integration teams; Develop best practices; Maintain quality control standards. 6)Financial Management: Track and recover overcharges; Process carrier payments; Manage audit budget; Reconcile freight accounts.
